It is the favourite haunt of the students during their spare time. It offers variety of food at reasonable price. Sports & Games
Sports and physical activities are an integral part of our curriculum. The institute has facilities for both indoor & Outdoor sports-table Tennis Room, Carom Room, Chess, Indoor Badminton Court. The campus is one of the most versatile campus with various activities and sports events conducted throughout the year. Sports play an integral role in the overall development of students and due emphasis is laid on games and sports. IIM Kashipur Celebrated India’s G-20 Presidency Conducts ‘G20 University Connect’ Lecture Series Addressed by Senior Indian Diplomat
August 29, 2023: The acclaimed Indian Institute of Management Kashipur (IIM Kashipur) sponsored a unique lecture series under the ‘G20 University Connect’ initiative in order to enhance global awareness and nurture innovative thinking. The event was themed “Engaging Young Minds,” which echoed the institute’s dedication to developing tomorrow’s leaders. The lecture series began with a prominent guest, Ambassador (Ms.) L. Savithri, a recognised personality from India’s Ministry of External Affairs. Professor K.N. Badhani delighted the event with his presence, delivering the opening comments and establishing an enthusiastic tone for the intellectual discourse that followed.
The special presentation by Ambassador (Ms.) L. Savithri provided an incisive view on India’s crucial position in the G20 group. She praised IIM Kashipur for achieving the 19th position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), underlining the institution’s remarkable rise in the educational scene. She emphasised IIM Kashipur’s vast diversity and encouraged students to take significant lessons from their academic path. Ambassador (Ms.) L. Savithri delved into the heart of the topic, explaining the origins of the G20 and its tremendous impact on world affairs. She described how the G20, a coalition of 20 countries responsible for a substantial share of the world’s population, GDP, and commerce, was formed in response to crises in 1999 and 2000. Africa’s anticipated accession will broaden the G20’s reach and impact.
Professor Kunal Ganguly, who discussed infrastructure investment and logistics optimisation, and Professor Abhradeep Maiti, who discussed international trade and economic activity, both gave insightful speeches during the event. The fascinating presentations were followed by a dynamic question-and-answer session organised by Dr. Rohit Saini, which allowed students to interact directly with Ambassador (Ms.) L. Savithri. Preet Tejwani, the General Secretary of the Student Body Council, delivered a poignant vote of gratitude at the event’s grand finale. The final note, punctuated by the national song, inspired in the audience a sense of unity and patriotism. In a world that values collaboration and collective responsibility, IIM Kashipur’s G20 University Connect lecture series has emerged as a valuable resource.
